Here are two of the poems I have written,
A Light Amid the Snow, and The Light-House.
A Light Amid the Snow
Across this wild world of snow
across this frozen plain
I walk alone,
feeling only pain
To where I go
nor, from where I came
I do not truly know,
save it was long away
from this cursed snow
The ices bite
the winds of might
shall surly win me o`r
but before I go I want to know
the warmth of a fire
And so from my pack
I take a match
and light my sticks aglow
and in the warmth
and in the light
I soon forget
my dooming plight
And so across this
sea of snow
where no man ever dared to go
I bought my life
a single light,
amid the snow.
across this frozen plain
I walk alone,
feeling only pain
To where I go
nor, from where I came
I do not truly know,
save it was long away
from this cursed snow
The ices bite
the winds of might
shall surly win me o`r
but before I go I want to know
the warmth of a fire
And so from my pack
I take a match
and light my sticks aglow
and in the warmth
and in the light
I soon forget
my dooming plight
And so across this
sea of snow
where no man ever dared to go
I bought my life
a single light,
amid the snow.

The Light-House
The waves role on,
across this churning sea
the poor ship tossed
the captain lost
the light-house we can not see.
But lo! tis there
the brilliant light-house beam!
stand strong! stand strong!
for salvation has been seen!
Across the rolling waves we go,
across this churning sea
we are not lost
though the captains gone
for the light-house we can see!
